Ronald Armbrust’s practice encompasses first party insurance coverage, bad faith, auto accident, premises liability, toxic tort, mass tort, construction defect and products liability litigation.

His engineering background has proven to be particularly useful in products liability litigation, defending design and construction defect claims and prosecuting complex technical subrogation matters.

Mr. Armbrust’s clients have included national department stores, electrical generating facilities, oil refineries, paper mills, insurance companies, architects, engineers and product manufacturers.

Representative Cases
Mr. Armbrust has served as lead counsel in a substantial number of lawsuits. His experience includes catalytic crackers, gas transmission lines, cast iron drainage pipe, generators, steam turbines, commercial garage doors, reciprocating and rotary compressors, shut down devices and safety switches, oil and grain storage tanks, steam boilers, water sensing devices, ash handling equipment, aluminum furnaces, gas and coal fired furnaces, refractories, valves, air bags, hydraulic systems, trash handling and off-road heavy equipment. In toxic tort litigation, he has represented clients in matters involving diethylene glycol poisoning and carbon monoxide poisoning. In mass tort litigation, he has represented clients in litigation involving factor concentrate/HIV infection, asbestosis and silicosis.

A selection of his representative cases includes:

  • Successfully represented a defendant in a trial to verdict relative to a personal injury rear-end auto accident, prevailing on the property damage counter-claim.
  • Successfully represented a manufacturer of scavenger trucks in a products liability/personal injury action in a federal court trial to verdict
  • Successfully represented three product manufacturers in silicosis matters, having all cases dismissed.
  • Successfully defended a consortium of fire insurance carriers in a four- month trial to verdict in federal court where the insured was a power utility.
  • Successfully represented an insurance carrier in a first party/bad faith litigation where the insured was an oil refiner and the subject matter was the efficacy of a newly installed catalytic cracker.
  • Successfully represented a Big Ten university in a trial to verdict relative to a design and construction defect/structural collapse.
  • Successfully represented a computer manufacturer in a lengthy AAA arbitration hearing in a commercial litigation case involving a breach of contract.
  • Successfully represented an insurer for a national oil refinery in a products liability and negligence suit relative to an explosion and destruction of one of its oil refineries.
  • Successfully represented an insurance company that issued a difference in conditions policy versus a boiler and machinery carrier where the insured was a national paper manufacturer relative to the defective construction/defective design of one if its paper mills.
  • Successfully represented an insurance carrier in a matter where intentional acts/additional coverage extensions were at issue.

Barbara Gonzalez

Barbara is a South Florida native. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Florida International University in 2001 and a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in 2005.

Since her admission to the Florida Bar in 2006, Barbara has focused her career in different aspects of Civil Litigation. Currently, her practice focuses mainly in the area of first-party property insurance litigation where she zealously represents homeowners and service providers with property claims against insurance companies.

Prior to joining the firm Barbara represented some of the Nation’s largest banks and mortgage lenders in the areas of creditor’s rights, consumer finance, and real property litigation. Before that, she practiced in the areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, and products liability, focusing all her efforts on representing the injured.

In her time as an attorney, she has spent countless hours in courtrooms throughout the State gaining invaluable experience in civil trial practice and procedure.  Barbara has done hundreds of bench trials, depositions, mediations and argued successfully at countless hearings. In addition to her civil litigation experience she also has extensive law firm management experience from her time spent as a supervising and managing attorney. During that time, she assisted in hiring, training and supervising attorneys, assistants and support staff while successfully managing client goals and expectations.

Barbara is licensed to practice law in all Florida State Courts and is admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She is also an active member of the Florida Association of Public Insurance Adjusters and is fluent in Spanish.

Barbara currently resides in Southwest Ranches. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Attorney Jordan Bieber

jbieberJordan Bieber is passionate about his law practice. He is a zealous advocate for homeowners who have been wronged by their insurance companies. Additionally, Mr. Bieber represents victims of catastrophic medical malpractice events and general negligence incidents.

Prior to joining The Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Mr. Bieber spent several years handling a variety of complex, high-exposure cases including medical negligence and product liability lawsuits. He has also handled several appellate matters resulting in published opinions by the Third District Court of Appeal. Mr. Bieber has the knowledge, skill and experience to take on the biggest corporations and insurance companies.

In 2007, Mr. Bieber graduated from Brandeis University where he was a member of the Dean’s List. He then went on to graduate from Emory University School of Law in 2012. In his free time, Mr. Bieber enjoys playing tennis and golf.

Mr. Bucci is currently a member of the Florida Bar and has been admitted to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.

Garrett S. Elsinger earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and History from Hope College, Holland Michigan in 1993. He earned his Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law in 1996. Garrett worked for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office from 1997 through 2003 where he rose to the position of Felony Trial Unit Supervisor and was responsible for the prosecution of vehicular homicide and second degree murder cases. He has been lead counsel in over 100 jury trials in both state and federal courts.  In 2003, Garrett opened his own law firm in Fort Lauderdale where he practiced criminal law. From 2008 through 2014 Garrett worked for Purdy, Jolly, Giuffreda & Barranco, P.A. where he practiced civil rights defense and government liability representing law enforcement officers in state and federal courts who were accused of false arrest, excessive force, and negligence. Garrett focuses his practice in the areas of homeowners’ first-party property insurance litigation and general civil litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and well as the federal courts for the southern and middle districts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
