Prior to joining the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm and representing plaintiffs in insurance-related disputes, Patricia had years of experience in insurance litigation in both first–party and third-party insurance defense litigation, including non-binding arbitration proceedings and other means of alternative dispute resolution.

Before entering private practice, Patricia served for three years as law clerk and trial court staff attorney at the Fifth Judicial Circuit of Florida, in and for Marion County, Florida. Patricia assisted Judge Frances S. King, Judge Steven G. Rogers, and Judge Lisa Herndon on civil matters ranging from contract disputes, negligence actions, to probate matters. She also assisted the circuit court appeals panel, in addressing civil appeals of county court decisions.

Patricia is a long-time resident of South Florida, having received her Bachelor of Science degree from Barry University and is a graduate of the University of Florida’s Fredric G. Levin College of Law.

Patricia is fluent in Spanish and is a member of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers.

Trevor Thomson

Trevor Thomson is an experienced trial lawyer and passionate advocate. Prior to joining The Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Mr. Thomson served as an Assistant Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit, where he zealously fought to defend the rights of the indigent. During his time at the Public Defender’s, Mr. Thomson tried over twenty jury trials and was the attorney of record in over one thousand criminal cases ranging from DUI to complex economic and SVU felonies.

In 2008, Mr. Thomson graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Outside the classroom, Mr. Thomson played for the Men’s Ice Hockey team at Saint Joseph’s.

In his senior year of college, Mr. Thomson was recruited by Morgan Stanley, a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, securities, wealth management and investment management services. At Morgan Stanley, Mr. Thomson worked as a financial analyst in the operations division of the firm. There, he specialized in credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, and bespoke over-the-counter derivatives products. Mr. Thomson’s background in both litigation and finance make him a valuable asset in complex litigation cases.

After working for Morgan Stanley for over three years, Mr. Thomson’s passion for justice led him to enroll in law school in 2011. In 2014, Mr. Thomson graduated from Ave Maria School of Law in Naples, Florida. While in law school, Mr. Thomson concentrated on opportunities to hone his craft in the areas of research, writing, and trial advocacy. Mr. Thomson excelled in those areas, serving as the Executive Articles Editor for the Ave Maria International Law Journal, working for his Contracts professor as a faculty research assistant, spending the summer of his second year working in federal court for The Honorable Douglas N. Frazier in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, advancing to the semi-final round in the Robert H. Bork Moot Court Competition, and receiving an “A” grade in Trial Advocacy.

Today, Mr. Thomson continues to fight against injustice, representing home owners, restoration companies, and other vendors against insurance companies who have either underpaid or denied on property claims.

Mr. Thomson is a member in good standing with the Florida Bar and is licensed to practice in all Florida State courts.

Michael C. Fischetti

Michael C. Fischetti was born and raised in South Florida. After high school, Michael attended Florida State University and graduated magna cum laude with degrees in real estate and finance. Afterwards, Michael returned to South Florida to study law at the Florida International University College of Law. While in law school, Michael was a member of the Jewish Law Student Association and participated in events geared toward helping immigrants obtain lawful citizenship. Michael also spent a semester studying abroad and learning about topics such as Women’s Rights under European Law and the history of the civil law system. When not studying, Michael spent his time exploring all of which Spain had to offer along with nearby countries such as Italy, Morocco, and Germany.

After Graduating from Florida International University in 2014, Michael obtained his Florida Bar License that very same year. Since becoming eligible to practice law, Michael has 100% focused his legal practice on representing policy holders and assignees against insurers. Michael has handled hundreds of cases in which an insurer denied or underpaid an insurance claim. Michael has participated in multiple trials through verdict, deposed fact and expert witnesses, and argued various motions on behalf of Insureds. Michael joined the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm in March 2017 with the intention of continuing to represent Insureds in need of help.

Alexander J. Santana

Alexander Santana was born and raised in South Florida. Since his formative years, Alexander has been immersed in the diverse culture of South Florida and has thrived as a community member.

Alexander earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida International University in 2004 where he majored in both Marketing and Management. Prior to attending law school, Alexander honed his business acumen, while cultivating client relationships, working at SunTrust Bank and then Carnival Cruise Lines. In both, Alexander provided the client with superior service and advantageous results.

Alexander earned his Juris Doctorate from the St. Thomas University School of Law in December of 2010. While attending St. Thomas University, Alexander received Dean’s List honors. During his law school tenure, Alexander attended the legal clinic at the Office of Financial Regulation. Here, Alexander refined the skill of advocating for the client. As a member of the Law School community, Alexander was an active member of the Cuban American Student Bar Association and the Public Interest Law Students Association. Alexander also had the privilege of studying the diversity of the legal field while studying abroad in Spain. Alexander learned the different methods of practice and how each client is unique.

Once licensed to practice in Florida in 2011, Alexander has been focused on Civil Litigation. Alexander has represented the lending institutions across the State of Florida in all aspects of Real Estate Litigation. As an advocate for the creditors, Alexander had the advantage of gaining the insight of how the large institutions approach their obligations to the consumer. Alexander used that knowledge in order to effectuate the proper outcomes for his clients. Since joining the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Alexander uses his professional experiences to provide the insured representation when they are not properly compensated by the insurance companies.
