Paul V. Dent III

Paul V. Dent III was born and raised in North Florida. After high school, Paul attended Florida State University, graduating with degrees in criminology and psychology.

In 2015, Paul ventured to South Florida to begin studies at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad College of Law. While in law school, Paul was Executive Editor of the Nova Law Review, Volume 42, as well as an advocate with Moot Court and the Nova Trial Association. By the end of Paul’s time at NSU Law, Paul had received various awards, including the Gold Level Distinction in the Pro Bono Honor Program and the Cali Excellence Award in Legal Research & Writing.

After graduating from NSU Law, Paul obtained his Florida Bar License that very same year. Since obtaining his license, Paul has focused on civil litigation and representing policy holders against insurers throughout the State of Florida.

Paul is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida, and is currently a member of the Florida Bar and Southern District of Florida.

Daniel F. Dickenson, Esq.

 

Dan is a trial lawyer specializing in personal injury and insurance claims. Dan specializes in civil litigation, as well as business and real estate transactional matters. Dan has extensive experience litigating a full range of civil and insurance related cases in state and federal court. Dan is licensed in Florida, Colorado, and Washington D.C. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.

In 2006, Dan began his legal career as a trial lawyer in West Palm Beach, Florida where he defended cases on behalf of insurance companies and corporate clients. In 2010 he returned to Boca Raton, Florida to represent individuals in insurance and personal injury litigation. Working at one of the oldest law firms in Boca Raton, Dan sharpened his trial advocacy, transactional, and corporate governance skills.

Dan is a native of Florida and Boca Raton. He is a 1999 graduate of Franklin & Marshall College. He attended law school at Nova Southeastern Shepard Broad Law Center. Dan is also a proud alumni of Gulf Stream School.

Dan lives in Boca Raton with his wife and two children. He is a member of The Boca Raton Historical Society and The Boca Raton Little League. He also devotes his pro bono time to helping individuals affected by the pandemic in foreclosure and eviction cases.

Dan is also Of Counsel with the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, where he represents homeowners in first party property damage claims.

 

Kristen Somma

Kristen Barros Somma, Esq. is a South Florida native and was raised in Broward County. She attended Florida International University (“FIU”) where she earned a Bachelors in Arts and Sciences with a major in Political Science and a minor in Communications. She was named to the Dean’s List every semester while at FIU. She was also a Student Senator in the Student Government Association for the largest population of students, the College of Arts and Sciences which had about 10,000 students at the time.

Kristen continued her education at the University of Miami School of Law where she ultimately earned her Juris Doctor. She spent her first summer in law school interning at the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm where she assisted the partners and associates in legal research and participated in the litigation process. While in law school, she also participated in the University’s Immigration Clinic where represented non-citizens, pro bono, in their pursuit of asylum into the United State and won for her first ever client.

Kristen is a licensed Florida Attorney and is fluent in Spanish.  She now focuses her practice in the area of homeowners’ property insurance litigation and officially rejoined the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm as a practicing attorney in April of 2020 where she fights for the rights of homeowners throughout the State.

Garrett S. Elsinger

Garrett S. Elsinger earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science and History from Hope College, Holland Michigan in 1993. He earned his Juris Doctor from University of Miami School of Law in 1996. Garrett worked for the Broward County State Attorney’s Office from 1997 through 2003 where he rose to the position of Felony Trial Unit Supervisor and was responsible for the prosecution of vehicular homicide and second degree murder cases. He has been lead counsel in over 100 jury trials in both state and federal courts.  In 2003, Garrett opened his own law firm in Fort Lauderdale where he practiced criminal law. From 2008 through 2014 Garrett worked for Purdy, Jolly, Giuffreda & Barranco, P.A. where he practiced civil rights defense and government liability representing law enforcement officers in state and federal courts who were accused of false arrest, excessive force, and negligence. Garrett focuses his practice in the areas of homeowners’ first-party property insurance litigation and general civil litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts and well as the federal courts for the southern and middle districts of Florida, the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Yarly Cabello is a New York native who moved to Miami, FL when she was sixteen. After graduating high school, Yarly attended St. Thomas University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology. Yarly’s goal and passion was always to advocate for others with her legal skills.

In 2016, Yarly began her journey at the Shepard Broad College of Law of Nova Southeastern University. Since the beginning of law school, Yarly has committed her focus to trial advocacy skills. During her tenure at the Shepard Broad College of Law, Yarly participated in multiple mock trial competitions, served as Vice President of the NSU Trial Association, and before graduating, participated in several jury trials.

After passing the Florida Bar, Yarly had the honor of working for the Miami-Dade Public Defender’s Office. During her time with the Public Defender, Yarly gained motion practice experience, selected juries for trial, and successfully defended her clients in many trials, maintaining a winning record successfully advocating for her clients.

Yarly’s fight for justice continues in another area of the law, as her focus is now advocating for homeowners and companies against insurance companies. At The Mineo Law Firm, she uses her litigation and advocacy skills to ensure her clients obtain the benefits they deserve without fear of insurance companies.

Zachary Greenbaum

Zach earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Montana. While attending the University of Montana, Zach obtained his Emergency Medical Technician license and worked on ski patrol for several years. After obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree, Zach moved to Florida where he obtained his Juris Doctor Degree from St. Thomas School of Law.

Prior to joining the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Zach was already battling against big corporate giants. Zach spent the beginning of his legal career helping individuals who were fraudulently induced into purchasing a timeshare. Zach was driven to join the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm to further help individuals who were being taken advantage of by their insurance companies. Zach is driven to eliminate the fear associated with filing an insurance claim.  To best serve his future clients, Zach began working for a defense firm to learn the ins and outs of how insurance companies operate. With the knowledge and insight gained working for the insurance companies, Zach now devotes his work to protecting the rights of policyholders.

After living in New York, Illinois, Montana, and now Florida, Zach has a very diverse set of experiences to share with his clients. As an avid adventure sport activist, Zach is a licensed skydiver, scuba diver, and paraglide pilot. From the workspace to his personal life, Zach is a well-rounded individual who is dedicated to obtain the most for his clients and ensure their rights are protected.

Julie C. Collange

Julie C. Collange’s focus is in the area of Plaintiff’s First Party Property Damage cases, where she represents property owners against insurance companies who have wrongfully denied, delayed, or underpaid their insurance claims.

Julie attended Lynn University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, specializing in International Business and attended Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree in law.

While attending law school, Julie earned her certification as a Guardian ad Litem to advocate on behalf of children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected. In addition, she gained Florida Bar approval as a Certified Legal Intern to represent individuals under the Children and Families Clinic in partnership with the Broward Legal Aid Society. Through these programs Julie gained valuable experience handling a variety of legal issues and developed a passion for helping those in need.

Julie is admitted to practice law in the state of Florida and is currently a member of the Florida Bar and Broward County Bar Association.

Lance B. Stephan

Lance B. Stephan is an experienced civil litigator. Mr. Stephan primarily represents homeowners in legal disputes with their insurance carriers. Prior to joining the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Mr. Stephan was Associate General Counsel to Florida’s largest homeowners’ insurance company. Mr. Stephan also previously worked as an associate attorney for a well-known Miami law firm, where he represented a number of insurance carriers throughout Florida.

Mr. Stephan completed earned both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees at Florida State University and graduated cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law. During law school, he was a judicial intern for Justice Barbara J. Pariente, at the Florida Supreme Court. Prior to attending law school, he worked as a legislative aide in the Florida House of Representatives in Tallahassee, Florida.
