Karla Lockwood lived in or around Boston, Massachusetts all her life prior to moving to Miami in 2013. Karla completed her Bachelor of Arts at University of Massachusetts – Amherst in 2005, and earned her Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in 2009. Before making the move to Florida, Karla practiced as an attorney in Massachusetts for several years, handling a wide range of civil litigation matters.
Karla Lockwood now focuses her practice in the areas of homeowners’ first-party property insurance litigation and general civil litigation. Prior to joining The Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Karla worked as a defense attorney representing property insurers against homeowners’ claims. Now Karla works as an advocate for homeowners against property insurance companies, using the valuable insight she gained when defending such claims to the benefit of her clients.
Karla is licensed to practice in all Massachusetts states courts, all Florida state courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
