Lidor Kantor is an experienced litigation attorney who has spent the majority of his legal career in the courtroom. He began by representing homeowners in foreclosure actions, and has first-chaired more than one hundred and fifty bench trials and argued at dozens of evidentiary and summary judgment hearings in the areas of foreclosure defense, family, business, and contract law. Mr. Kantor has counseled his clients at every stage of litigation—from retainer to and through appeal. His courtroom experience has made him a convincing litigator and deliberate trial strategist, which has successfully resulted in achieving his clients’ intended objectives.
After only one year of practicing, Mr. Kantor was promoted to the rank of Managing Attorney for the Broward County office of a successful Florida-based law firm, overseeing all aspects of litigation for more than a thousand actively litigated cases, as well as three associate attorneys. Mr. Kantor was responsible for identifying specific legal courses of action and developing effective written advocacy, oral argument, settlement negotiation and creative problem solving skills. His level of responsibilities at the firm serves as a reflection of his professionalism, dependability and capability of working well under time sensitive deadlines. He considers himself a self-starter with an immense desire to excel and succeed.
Prior to joining the Mineo Salcedo Law Firm, Mr. Kantor concentrated his practice on representing insurance companies against first-party property, subrogation, and assignment-of-benefits cases at a South Florida Insurance Defense law firm. Mr. Kantor now works as an advocate for homeowners against property insurance companies, using the valuable insight he gained when defending such claims to the benefit of his clients.
A native of Tel Aviv, Israel, Mr. Kantor is fluent in Hebrew. He received his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, in Criminology from the University of Florida. After working as a MetLife financial and estate-planning advisor, he attended law school at Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center, earning his Juris Doctor in 2012. As a law student, he continually made the Dean’s list and was active in the Pro Bono Program, reaching Silver Level of Service recognition. While in law school, Mr. Kantor also interned at a personal injury law firm in Ft. Lauderdale, as well as at the Office of the State Attorney.
Mr. Kantor is licensed to practice in all Florida State Courts and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
