Donato O. Bucci, originally from Pittsburgh, PA, earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Robert Morris University in Moon Township, PA, with a concentration in Sport Management. Prior to attending law school, he worked in the ticket office for a Major League Baseball team for five seasons.
Mr. Bucci moved to Miami in 2009 to attend the University of Miami, School of Law. During law school, he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor society and the Entertainment and Sports Law Society at the University of Miami. While in law school, Mr. Bucci worked as a certified legal intern with the Miami Dade State Attorney’s Office, where he litigated cases of domestic violence in criminal court.
Upon graduation in 2011, Mr. Bucci gained years of invaluable experience as an insurance defense attorney where his practice areas included medical malpractice, legal malpractice, and personal injury. Mr. Bucci’s primary focus was defending first party property insurance claims. While representing insurance companies, Mr. Bucci was responsible for assessing cases, formulating defensive theories and any associated litigation. This included answering pleadings, preparing and responding to written discovery requests, drafting Motions to Dismiss and Motions for Summary Judgment, conducting depositions of homeowners, public adjusters, and experts, and attending court hearings and mediation. For this reason, Mr. Bucci brings a unique insight to representing homeowners and plaintiffs and will aggressively protect the rights of each client.
Mr. Bucci is currently a member of the Florida Bar and has been admitted to practice in the state of Pennsylvania.
